2015 was the first ever Rushmoor Wellesley 10k and we weren’t sure how popular it would be. Turns out it was quite popular. So, this year we’ve upped the field from 500 to 1000, introduced chip timing and improved our route to take the increased foot fall. The new course involves much more of the beautiful Wellesley Woodlands and less roads. Apart from the odd bump here and there, it’s a very flat course. Do take care in the woodland sections though, as path can be narrow at times and presents the occasional trip hazard.
The race starts on the polo fields in the same location as the Rushmoor parkrun, carrying out a small loop before heading for the canal. The finish point will be in the Military Stadium itself, with the 100m track being the perfect chance for a sprint finish.
