Given some narrow sections  of the course and in the interest of the safety of all participants, we regret that we are unable to allow dogs to accompany runners on the course.

Yes, feel free to do so! But please bear in mind that the course is narrow in places, and other runners may need to get past you.

No, but there will be toilets at the start and finish – based in the Army Rugby Stadium and the Army Athletics Stadium.

We strongly recommend that you don’t listen to music during the race. This is for your own safety as one part of the course is on a public road. Other parts of the course are narrow in places, and you must be able to hear a runner behind you that is wanting to get past. If you do insist on listening to music, please bone conduction headphones or only use one earphone so you have some awareness of your surroundings and you can hear the instructions of our marshals.

The fun run completes a 2k (approximately) lap within the Polo fields, which is the starting location for the 2k and 10k events. The 2k will follow roughly the same route as the 10k, but the 10k will start a few minutes earlier so it won’t be possible to run with your child on the 2k and run the 10k.

Dogs are permitted (on a lead) on Queen’s Parade, but unfortunately they are not permitted in the Rugby Stadium, where the 10k finishes (except for guide dogs). Therefore, dogs are not permitted on the 10k. This is a restriction imposed by the land manager and is out of our control.
