Yes, you can can collect the race number of another runner at pre-registration only. To facilitate this, please bring a letter signed by the absent runner authorising you to collect on their behalf. It’s essential that every runner gets the race number assigned to them – do not mix them up! (If you do, the results will be wrong!). So if you’re collecting two or more numbers, write the names of the people they are for on the back as you collect them.
Runners must collect their race numbers in person on race day.
Given some narrow sections of the 10k course and in the interest of the safety of all participants, we regret that we are unable to allow dogs to accompany runners on the 10k course. Dogs are allowed on the fun run on the Polo fields (on a short lead!), but not afterwards in the Rugby Stadium.
Unfortunately we are not able to offer refunds on entry fees. If you cannot run then we would prefer that you transfer your race number to another person, as we will still have to pay for your number, medal, etc. See this web page for details on how to do this. If you can’t find anyone to transfer to we MAY be able to defer your entry to a future race if you’re sick or injured – please use the Contact Us form to find out.
We are keen to encourage entries from all levels of runner, but this is not a walking event so we expect everyone to finish in 2 hours. If you want to run/walk the course that’s fine! If you are very near the back of the field, please be aware that there is a cross over point where it is possible (but very unlikely) that you may encounter the lead runners at the very front of the race coming very quickly. If this happens, please keep to one side of the path and follow any marshal’s instructions.
Yes, feel free to do so! But please bear in mind that the 10k course is narrow in places, and other runners may need to get past you. There are no narrow sections on the fun run.
All results will be posted as soon as possible to this website, and also to the race Facebook page.
No, but there will be toilets at the start and finish in the Military Athletics Stadium.
We strongly recommend that you don’t listen to music during the 10k race. This is for your own safety as one part of the 10k course is on a public road. Other parts of the 10k course are narrow in places, and you must be able to hear a runner behind you that is wanting to get past. If you do insist on listening to music, please bone conduction headphones or only use one earphone so you have some awareness of your surroundings and you can hear the instructions of our marshals.
Yes, you can. Please email the race organiser. Any photos where your race number is visible will be omitted from any race photos that will be published by us online or in the media.
Dogs are permitted (on a lead) on Queen’s Parade, but unfortunately they are not permitted in the Rugby Stadium, where the 10k finishes (except for guide dogs). Therefore, dogs are not permitted on the 10k. This is a restriction imposed by the land manager and is out of our control.
Unfortunately it isn’t possible to defer a race entry to the following year unless you are ill or injured. However, you can transfer it to another person. See this web page for details on how to do this.
