Given some narrow sections of the course and in the interest of the safety of all participants, we regret that we are unable to allow dogs to accompany runners on the course.
Yes, feel free to do so! But please bear in mind that the course is narrow in places, and other runners may need to get past you.
No, but there will be toilets at the start and finish – based in the Army Rugby Stadium and the Army Athletics Stadium.
We strongly recommend that you don’t listen to music during the race. This is for your own safety as one part of the course is on a public road. Other parts of the course are narrow in places, and you must be able to hear a runner behind you that is wanting to get past. If you do insist on listening to music, please consider only using one earphone so you have some awareness of your surroundings and you can hear the instructions of our marshals.
Parking is available free of charge on the grasscrete car park behind the rugby stadium, signposted ‘Car Park 6’. (The Rushmoor parkrun car park). This is accessed from Princes Avenue, Aldershot, GU11 2LQ.
If you are coming from the Farnborough direction, or if you want a quick getaway after the event, you can use alternate parking for a small fee of 70p for 3 hours (or 90p for 4 hours) at Napier Gardens short stay car park on Redvers Buller Road, North Camp, GU11 2JH. From here it is only a 1km walk to the rugby stadium.
A map showing car parking can be found here.
We will provide a secure area to leave baggage (bag drop) in the Rugby Stadium seating area (overlooking the pitch). However, please do not leave valuables in bags as we can take no responsibility for loss or damage.
Yes, you can. Please speak to the race team at registration and they will issue you with a wristband. Any photos where this wristband is visible will be omitted from any race photos that will be published by us online or in the media.
Fun run registration will take place only on the morning of the race, on a first come, first served basis. Registration opens at 8.30am and closes again at 10:15am.
The minimum age for entering the 2k fun run is 5 years old. However, children under the age of 9 years old MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times.
The fun run completes a 2k (approximately) lap of Queen’s Parade, which is the starting location for the 2k and 10k events. Although they start together, the course will be different from the 10k so it won’t be possible to run with your child and run the 10k.
Yes, you can! We’d love you to run with your children, but please remember that you should register for the fun run as well. Only runners with a fun run number will get a medal at the end.
Dogs are permitted (on a lead) at the fun run start line on Queen’s Parade, but unfortunately they are not permitted in the Rugby Stadium, where the 10k finishes (except for guide dogs). Therefore, dogs are not permitted on the 10k. This is a restriction imposed by the land manager and is out of our control.
